JOURNAL ENTRIES

     When I went to school for the first time I swear I was going to pee my pants. Later I got      some of my first friends, Jack and Summer. I'm really happy I forgave Jack for that incident and I'll never regret that, he's a great friend. Miranda was forgiven and we hang out all the time and Justin is a great new friend and boyfriend of Via. I only see Julian once in a while skateboarding or something like that.

     It will be my first day of 6th grade soon summer break flew right by me so fast. Even though those kids picked a fight with me during  camp and my hearing aids broke, I was sad at first but it really showed who my true friends were, so I take it as a sorta plus. I can't believe I won a medal at the end of the year. I finally feel not like a normal kid but better, like a special kid.

     When Daisy died my heart broke. I couldn't believe she was gone, so me and via just gathered

her toys into one pile and sat around it like we were praying. Later mom came home with something bundled in her arms I couldn't tell what it was at first, but when I saw it I thought it at first it was a bear cub. we played with it for the whole entire day just me, Via, and our new dog Bear.

     It just felt like a day ago I got a medal at school, then we all took a picture together huddled up - Summer, Me, Jack, Charlotte - and from there I didn't know who else wanted to be in that picture with me. I have no regrets in going to fifth grade at Beecher Prep. In fact, I'm going back next year with Jack, Summer, and everyone.

Letter to a friend and from a friend

Dear Jack and Summer,

     Julian is not messing around any more and school is turning into an all out war. We have Reid, Summer, the two Maxes, Me, and Jack are on our team and then on theirs the neutrals and Julian's team.

     You guys better be careful, I'm already getting notes in my lockers saying some rude things.

     Before I stop writing this letter to you the popular girls have teamed up with the popular boys (Julian, I mean) so they're on Julian's team now so stay away. To read off some names Charlotte, Malik, Remo, Jose, Leif, Ram, Ivan, and Russel are neutrals. Julian has a lot of people on his side, of course Julian, Henry, and Amos are on his side but there's also Simon, Triston, Pablo, Nino, Isaiah, Luca, Jake, Toland, Roman, Ben, Emmanuel,
Zele, and Tomaso. I hope this ends.

Dear August, 

All out war, huh? Well, that seems great. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one getting rude notes in their lockers. I get some like "You stink, big cheese!" and
"Nobody likes you anymore!" They're so weak sauce! You're right this is turning into all out war, though not much we can do expect survive through this. Try not to die ( Just kidding).

Julian is now saying that we sent a hitman after him. I mean who would be our hitman? Not like anyone though is on our side. He's definitely lying, I mean, what was I expecting? He lies all the time, why should this be different? I mean, when has he not lied? I feel like Julian is just in a family of bad people. I mean, who edits out a kid from a class picture and gives that to her friends and not the original? Like, come on man, who does that? See you soon.

Diary Entry 

     I can't believe how much I've changed since my first day of school. At first I didn't even want to go. I thought, "Change would be bad so why get out there and get made fun of?" Now I couldn't be so far from the truth I have never been better but, when I agreed to go to school and I saw other kids there for the first time, oh god I felt nervous. Though, that was the first time I met Julian when he was asking me if I knew what an eraser was and making fun of me for asking Jack if his name was Jack or Jack Will. It made me feel really worried thinking is everyone else going to be like him? I was surprised to see on my first day a girl went to my lonely lunch table where I sat alone and sat with me. Of all the things she could have done, she was so nice when she went to sit with me. She was one of my first friends. Now, of course, we thought it was funny that my name was August and her name was Summer so all lunch we were making a list of kids with season names who could sit at our table.  now right then I felt very hopeful and I said to myself, "two new friends wow."

     Halloween is my favorite holiday of all I can be a normal kid just wearing a mask. That Halloween was ruined though. Jack, my best friend, was with Julian saying horrible things about me and my heart broke. How could he do that to me when we were best friends? I went home because I felt very sick and, for the first time, I didn't go trick-or-treating. Via knew something was up so I told her that Jack had said horrible things about me and from that day she hated Jack.  I thought I would never forgive Jack but he said sorry and I couldn't be mad at him forever. I was getting lonely so I forgave him

     It was time for camp. I was scared but I got the courage to come. Some kids attacked me and Henry, Amos, Me, and Jack though I'll never regret going to camp because it showed who my true friends were, but at the time I thought it was a horrible idea because those kids attacked us and I lost my hearing aids. A long while after camp Mr. Tushman called me into his office and said he found my broken hearing aids in the locker of the leader of the kids who attacked us, which didn't surprise me but he said something that did surprise me: Julian wasn't coming back next year. I was shocked and overjoyed to hear that the kid that picked on me ever since the first day of school wasn't going to be here next year! At the end of the last day of school I got a medal and we were going to take a picture but then kids flooded in wanting to get a picture with me, Summer, and Jack. It was amazing that year and it was so much fun and I'm coming back next year and this time I'm going to have so much fun!
